The online ad supported video value chain has evolved into an amazingly complicated business - several content
owners may serve content to one site, using their own ad sales, while also opening ad sales to the publisher's sales
force, and to 3rd ad parties and remnant ads suppliers.

HIRO's Fill rate optimizer enables one central server to automatically interact with the player, pass the appropriate
information to the different ad servers, bid between several ad networks, manages cross-network statistical
information and allows advanced features such as cross broadcaster campaigns, inventory management and more.

The fill rate optimizer facilitates the development and maintenance of the publisher's player, which will otherwise need
to interact with several different servers. It also allows the publisher to give substantial added value to both content
owners and advertisers.

MAIN FUNCTIONALITIES

Bidding


The fill rate optimizer connects to multiple ad networks and syndication partners, and bids between them for the
highest paying ads, taking into consideration different rev share rules.

Redirect ads across different networks


Enables publishers to redirect their ad inventory between different networks. If one network does not have enough
ad inventory, while another has some excess inventory, HIRO’s fill rate optimizer takes the ads from the network with
the surplus and reschedules it automatically, naturally taking care of all billing issues.

Allow cross-network campaigns


Allows advertisers to buy cross-network campaigns and ensure receiving the expected frequency capping, control
the number of views per user, and allow serialized campaigns for one user across different networks and more.
HIRO’s optimizer collects all viewing information, thus allowing central control over the campaign.

3rd party ad networks connection


Connect to external ad networks, and ensure all the inventory is being sold if one network fail to fill a slot.

Interact with publisher players


All ad requests pass from the publisher player to HIRO's fill rate optimizer, which takes care of the
integration to the ad server of the appropriate content owner. This facilitates development and maintenance of the
video player, and allows the creation of additional players for mobile phones and other devices.

Support content syndication


Allows publishers to syndicate content to 3rd party websites, while maintaining control of ad sales and rights. The
HIRO ad integration platform also enables price differentiation and multiple business models and CPMs for different
syndicators.

Aggregate all the viewing statistics


Collect all ad and video viewing statistics, and aggregate all publisher content statistics. All the data is collected into
a central dashboard, in which all the relevant statistical information is presented, thus allowing in-depth analysis on
usage patterns, user profiles and more.

Aggregate user information


Coordinate all the publishers' user information, and distributes it to different ad servers in an appropriate format. This
information may include socio-demographic information, location, ad preferences, ad viewing history and more.
